Can no longer use X11 with ssh. Have XQuartz2.7.7 installed. Logging in with X11 via ssh gives the warnings Warning: untrusted X11 forwarding setup failed: xauth key data not generated Warning. SSH-X “Warning: untrusted X11 forwarding setup failed: xauth key data not generated” (6) ForwardX11Trusted is required even for connections you think are untrusted when your X server doesn't have the SECURITY extension (Apple servers have a ton of visuals that take up over 100 lines, so I suggest 'xdpyinfo grep SECURITY' to check; if that returns no output, you don't have it). Warning: untrusted X11 forwarding setup failed: xauth key data not generated. Warning: No xauth data; using fake authentication data for X11 forwarding. X11 Forwarding Setup Failed Xauth Key Data Not Generated Download
When I use ssh -X on my Mac (running OS X 10.6.7) to connect to my Ubuntu (11.04) box, I get the following warning. Warning: untrusted X11 forwarding setup failed: xauth key data not generated Warning: No xauth data; using fake authentication data for X11 forwarding. Warning: untrusted X11 forwarding setup failed: xauth key data not generated only on nested ssh logins? How can I avoid this warning and can successful use the more secure untrusted X11 forwarding? And no, I do not want to use the less secure -Y option on ssh for trusted X11 forwarding instead of the used -X option.
